Getting to one of the Andaman Sea's most beautiful island destinations is half the excitement.

Kindly note; in accordance to Thai law, all beaches in Thailand are open to the public. Batok Bay, fronting The Racha is no exception.

The Racha Chalong Lounge

This Lounge offers guests a retreat-like place to freshen up prior to
boat transfer to Racha Yai. Guests will enjoy many complimentary amenities –
including welcome drinks, light snacks, beverages, complimentary Wi-Fi,
charging stations and reading material.

When your boat is ready for departure, our Staff will walk you to Chalong Pier,
where you will ride the Pier Tram to the awaiting Racha boat.

Sea conditions vary during the seasons. Should you be prone to sea sickness,
kindly approach the Lounge staff for complimentary herbal travel remedies.

Land Transfers

The resort maintains a fleet of the latest Mercedes E-class limousines.
For guests requiring more space, luxury VW vans are also available.

depending on traffic conditions.

Boat Transfers

The journey from Chalong Pier to The Racha usually takes between 30-40 minutes
(depending on sea conditions).

Personal Yacht Arrivals

The Racha is located at
Lat 7 ̊36.500' N Lon 98 ̊21.960' E

From November to May, our jetty is positioned at Batok Bay (Western side)
Lat 7 ̊36.528' N Lon 98 ̊21.851' E

From June to October, our pontoon is positioned at Ter Bay (Eastern side)
Lat 7 ̊36.320' N Lon 98 ̊22.650' E

Vessels with a draft exceeding 1m should approach the jetty with caution –
shallow at low tide.

Kindly confirm with Resort Reception your exact location prior to arrival.
The Racha maintains radio watch on Marine VHF Channel 77.

In order for our staff to greet you at the jetty, we ask that you
establish radio contact prior to your arrival on the island.

Important Notices

Guests arriving later than 3.30pm at Phuket International Airport cannot be transferred to The Racha on the same evening.
For safety reasons, we do not operate boat transfers after sunset.

In the unfortunate event of a delayed flight arrival (later than 3.30pm), guests will be required to stay the night in Phuket.
Our Guest Services Staff will be happy to assist in making overnight arrangements. We will however, not be financially liable for costs incurred.

The safety of our guests is paramount. In the event of inclement weather and extreme sea conditions, we will not operate boat transfers.
As such, our Guest Services Staff will make alternative arrangements for our guests until conditions are optimal for travel.

Sea conditions may change very quickly and as such we would like our guests to be as comfortable as possible.
Guests will be required to wear floatation vests onboard. Light and loose clothing, non-slip footwear is recommended.

Arrival at Racha Yai

Depending on the season and wave conditions, arrival approach to Racha Yai
will either be from Batok Bay, fronting The Racha (usually November to May),
or Ter Bay, east of the island (from June to October).

Ter Bay arrivals will be transported across the island by tram bus - a mere 5 mins ride.
This provides guests a quick glimpse of island life along the way.

The Racha utilizes a floating pontoon that can be moved between bays.
This environmentally friendly pontoon moves with the waves. On rare occasions,
navigation can be at a little challenging. Should you require any assistance,
our Crew will be more than delighted to assist you to the shore.
